Can issue keys in a project be resequenced so that the lowest key starts with -1 again, and then sequentially the rest of the keys are renumbered too?
Yes, but you're going to be very very bored for a very long time while doing it.
I think it might be a better question to ask why you want to do this? What would you gain from re-sequencing a pile of unique ids (other than satisfying some people's OCD-like tendencies)
Hi Nic, indeed you are right about the OCD-like tendencies! 😁
Thank you for the suggested work around.

Hi @Ward Schwillens, Schwillie
Unfortunately not.
In case you need to skip the initial numbers in the sequence, that is possible though - https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-set-the-starting-issue-number-for-a-project-318669643.html

Hi @Ward Schwillens, Schwillie ,
Issue keys in Jira cannot be changed. Since this needs to be in the ascending order, you should be using a JQL query for this instead.
