Hi EKTA_CHAUHAN@homedepot.com ,

The issues listed in the pie chart comes from the filter you chose. In your case it is the filter named "Scrum Board WES Upgrade". If you want to include only the issues of a specific epic, you can create a new filter with the following JQL and use this new filter in your pie chart. Please replace YOUR-EPIC-ISSUE-KEY with the actual epic key.

parent = YOUR-EPIC-ISSUE-KEY

As an alternative, you can try Reports - Charts and Graphs for Jira app developed by our team.

With our app you can have more advanced reports as in the following.

Here is our live demo dashboard where you can see and modify sample reports and play with them.

If you are looking for a completely free solution, you can try the limited version Reports - Charts and Graphs for Jira Dashboard Free.

If you have any questions, feel free to schedule a demo with us.

Hope it helps.

Welcome to the community, EKTA_CHAUHAN@homedepot.com.

I am Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

If you want to filter through several Epics dynamically, you could try out our Jira cloud app.

For your use case you would have to

  • Add the Quick Pie Chart gadget to your dashboard and configure it to show data for all Epics
  • Add the Quick Controller gadget to your dashboard and create a dropdown filter for the Epic Link field

Doing that you can filter the results of the Quick Pie Chart gadget dynamically using the Quick Controller gadget.

You can test this feature without installing our app on our Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards demo. There's also an Epic Link filter available.

Hi EKTA_CHAUHAN@homedepot.com,

That pie chart displays the issue from your a filter. If you configure it with a filter that return the issue from one epic, it will display the only status of that epic.

Your filter could be something like this: parentEpic = EPIC-1

A better alternative to this gadget could be the Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget offered by our Great Gadgets app.  It has the advantage of displaying details about multiple individual epics in the same gadget!

Pivot Table by Issue Count:

Heat-map Table by Percent of Issues within Epic:

Multiple pie charts by epic and issue statuses:

Hope this helps. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at support@stonikbyte.com.

Danut.
