Hi,
My client wants to have a Team - with a number of users in that team.
Then they want to assign an Issue to this Team. They want all the users in the Team to be notified of any new Issue. They then want a Team-member to be able to work on the Issue.
Is this possible in JIRA Software (cloud)?
Thank you,
Ania
You can't assign to a team using the same "Assignee" field - Jira works on the basis that shared responsibility is no responsibility
BUT
Making use of Advanced Roadmaps enables a native Team field which you can use to manage team allocation properly, and is built in to Jira premium. If you're working at a scale where allocation to a team is important, it's probably worth paying for this feature tier and using it.
By default you cannot assign a ticket to a group. There was always a workaround to create a shared / dummy account with a distribution list email that would be used for notification.

We've just shipped this in Cloud for new company-managed projects it's now default, or just add the TEAM field to an existing project.

Nice to hear that this was finally shipped :) .. Thank you @Sherif Mansour for information! Do you plan to extend this to other offering/plans?

Yes, it's in all editions - not locked to a specific plan.

Hello, I have found the field "Team" under "Locked", how do I make it unlocked if we're on a free plan with 10 memebers?
