Can JIRA Service Desk be run on same nodes together with JIRA Software in data center?

We currently have  JIRA Software Server 7.1.9 and on the same instance we have installed JIRA Service Desk plugin 3.1.9. We are planning to move to JIRA Data Center in the future. Our question is that, can we have a multiple nodes with both JIRA software and JIRA service desk running together?
