We are working on a software project for another company, and their project manager has requested to be able to see the cards on the Jira board to monitor progress. However, we don't want to set him up as a Jira user since we use the clockwork app to track our hours and we don't want this individual to see those details.
Is there a way in Jira Software to send notifications or maybe a batch report about card status changes to an email that is not a registered user on the project? I know there are probably apps that can do that, but we are trying to avoid spending extra money on this.
Hello @Lief Bennett
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Using Automation Rules you can use the Send Email action to send messages to people based on explicitly entering their email, regardless of whether they have access to Jira.
Have you worked with Automation Rules before?

Jira Administrators can create Automation Rules. They may have also enabled Project Admins to create rules.
There are limits to how many rule executions are permitted per month based on your product Subscription. You may need to analyze the best method to collect as much information as possible in batches to minimize how many rule executions you have.
