Can I restrict JIRA Internal Directory accounts so they can only login from specified subdomain?

Technical Services August 18, 2013

I'm using JIRA 6 standalone (not WAR) with User Authentication via Active Directory and have set up HTTPS so users can access it from the Internet.

I want to restrict use of accounts in JIRA Internal Directory so that only hosts on our subnet can login using them (as these are the admin accounts).

Hi John,

Currently, JIRA does not make a distinction of users logging from an external link or from within the same network as the server, so it is not possible to restrict the internal user directory only to users from within the network.

Users will need to use a different user name altogether in order to have admin rights accessing the internal user directory.

Cheers,

Marcus
