Can I have sub projects or some way to separate groups within a project?

I have a new Project.  I would rather not create 10 different projects for what we are doing.  Can I just have one project with sub teams under it?

This is quite a difficult one to answer directly, we are a bit short on information.

The obvious question is "what do you think a 'sub-project' would look like in Jira?"

The usual answer you'll find in Jira docs is "use components to break up your larger project"

But what I would prefer to ask is for a brief description of what you are trying to organise!
