Can I generate a report/chart for bug priority and time to first response?

Fernando Jorge March 2, 2022

I'm trying to generate a report or chart that reflects the first-time response per bug priority.  If possible to do it then how can I add it to a dashboard.

Hi @Fernando Jorge

If you would be interested in a third-party app for reporting, you can check out eazyBI.

With eazyBI, you can analyze Jira (including Service Management) data by various measures and dimensions. Here are some examples: https://eazybi.com/accounts/1001/dashboards/8347-sla-overview.

Let me know if you would have any further questions regarding eazyBI!

Hello @Fernando Jorge

Welcome to the community.

There is a built in "Time to First Response" gadget for the Jira Dashboard. It can be configured to use a saved filter.

Create saved filters, one per bug priority, to retrieve the bugs.

Add multiple instance of the gadget to a Jira Dashboard and set each one to use one of those saved filters.

You will end up with separate charts of Time to First Response, each displaying the data for a different priority of bug.

Thanks! It's a long way to do it but seems to work.  So there's no way to have one like the two-dimensional gadget but instead of the bug count to show the time to first response?

I don't believe you can do that with the native functionality.

If you are willing to invest in a third party app from the Atlassian Marketplace, you can find lots of apps that extend the reporting functionality. I'm sure at least one of them could be used to generate the report you want.
