Can I exclude categories from a filter?

I have Category as a field for tickets that is single-select. I am filtering a group of tickets and want to exclude certain Categories. Since the field is single-select, I can't remove them from the 'basic' filter page. Can I write something in the Advanced Filter to exclude them?

Hi @Courtney Valeo 

You should be able to use the NOT IN () option

eg: resolution IS EMPTY AND category NOT IN ("Category A","Category B")
