Can I configure auto-close for inactive issues?

I'd like to close inactive open tickets after a configurable time period. Is this possible with OnDemand?

From the restrictions i see in http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand i think it can only be done by a third party program that you run to remotely execute the the close transition using either rest or soap. The only chance i would gave seen else is the jelly runner but this has been resolved as won't fix in the issue referenced in the link above.
