Can I auto link to code in git with issue tag

Alec June 14, 2021

If in code I write a comment

`//TODO: Address this. TAG-100`

where `TAG-100` is the tag of a jira issue that already exists, is there a way for that comment to be detected and that card automatically be updated with a link to the code where it is referenced? I assume something like this would have to be in a particular branch so it isn't linking all over the place.

Hello Alec,

Great question and we do have a solution that is designed for this, what you're wanting to use is something called Smart Commits. This will allow you to commit your code/changes and append details to the commit that will update the Jira issue as well.

Here is further information on Smart Commits:

I hope the information above proves helpful.
