Hi Folks,
I have a Jira project with a bunch of existing issues of all statuses. All of the issues were created prior to enabling the Release feature. I have now enabled the Release feature on the same project, created a new Release, and would like to move all of the existing issues to the Release. Is it possible to do a bulk move? I tried using the bulk move feature from a query, but did not see an option to move the issues to the release, only to the same project. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Damico Nicome welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The process of updating release details for issues is the same whether they are in the same project or part of a cross-project release.
Once you’ve selected your issues:
Navigate to Bulk actions > Release.
In the modal, choose the destination release into which you would like to move the selected issues. Only releases that are associated with projects of the selected issues will be available. Choose None to clear the current values for the selected issues.
Select Apply to complete your changes.
Hi Dave, thanks for your prompt response. Unfortunately, I don't see the Release option you show above. I neglected to mention that I am using Jira cloud premium. Does that make a difference?

Have you enabled the Releases feature in your project?
If you are a Project Admin or Product Admin, go to Project settings > Features > Development and toggle on the Release feature.

Yes, the Release option has been enabled and is visible in the menu on the left.

Ok, had to do a bulk update of the Fixed in Version field to move issues to the new release.
