Bitbucket commits not showing up on Jira Cloud

Frank Fu September 2, 2018

Hi,

I'm currently using Bitbucket Cloud and Jira Cloud and have the two applications linked. For the past year or so this has been working great and I can see which commits on which branches have been made against a specific Jira ticket. See attached image.

This doens't seem to be working anymore . I've made sure my commit formats have not changed.

Any ideas?

Hi @Frank Fu,

Can you confirm that Smart commits are enabled as per Enabling DVCS smart commits.

If they're enabled, it could be that you're running into DVCS Smart commits not working due to user not found via email or JIRA Cloud commits not showing up. Please check the possible causes outlined in those articles and see if any of them applies to your case.

Thanks,
Ram.

We've enabled DVCS Smart commits and I've made sure that all users have the correct permissions (link 1)  and the email address match up (link 2). See image attached.

I might note that this started happening right after I upgraded from Bitbucket Standard to Bitbucket Premium though I'm not sure if these two events are related.

I wanted to see if I can get some logging but apparently this is not available on Jira Cloud.

Any clues?

Hi @Frank Fu,

Try to manually synchronize the repository to enforce a Full synchronization. If you still have the problem, please contact at https://support.atlassian.com/.

Thanks,
Ram.

Hi @Rambabu Patina _Appfire_,

Thanks for your responses. Where can I enforce a Full synchronization? I've also logged a ticket directly to https://support.atlassian.com/..

Hi @Frank Fu,

You can follow the page for full or soft synching at https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucket/synchronize-an-account-371360175.html

Thanks,
Ram.

Thanks @Rambabu Patina _Appfire_,

I'm trying to follow along with this however I'm stuck on step 2.

Full syncing

To do a full sync:

  1. Locate the repository that you want to sync on the 'DVCS accounts' page.
  2. Hold down SHIFT and click the sync icon beside the Last activity date (you need to hover over the row to see that).
  3. Choose Full synchronization.

From what I can see on my screen, I cannot find the sync icon nor can I find the Last Activity date. See my screenshot below. Are there alternative ways to perform Full sync?
