Betsy can you please post your server.xml file?

I would lik eto see how its configured with the proper syntax so i can make similar changes ot my jira server.

which is also suffering from slow perfromance

Lenny, this post is out of context - we have no idea what problem you thing you are trying to solve.

On top of that, a Jira server.xml often doesn't need to be modified. I've been using Jira for a very long time and I've only messed with the server.xml to meet very very specific requirements (and those have all been to meet "the way client does stuff", not "make Jira different"). Off the shelf, following the documentation, it works. It's very likely that if you're having problems, it is NOT the server.xml file. Worse, copying someone else's file is more likely to make it worse than better.

That said... we don't actually know what you are having a problem with!
