Avoid automatically assigning a Jira card to someone when you bring them to the "Ready for testing"

When we have the status of any card we create in Jira ready for testing, it is automatically assigned to the person responsible for the QA task. When we assign any task to the Ready for test area, we want it to be assigned to the reporter who opened that task, not to the person responsible for QA, that is, to return to the reporter. How can we do this?

Hi @Oğuz Özkaya Welcome to the community.

We can do it in two ways.

1. Jira Automation
   Set your Jira Automation rule like this:-
   1. Whenever a ticket is transitioned from X -> Ready for Testing,
   2. Assign the ticket to the Reporter.
2. Post Function
   1. Go to your Jira Workflow
   2. Click the transition where you want to keep your validation
   3. Click Post Funtions
   4. Out of many funtions you can implement select the assignee and assign it to the reporter.

I would show you some details and screenshots. But its weekend and I haven't turned on my work laptop :) With few trys you can achieve following above guide.
