Hi,
Can anyone help me out disabling the automated space creation upon a project creation?
In other words, as soon as I create a new project in Jira, it automatically creates a Space in Confluence. In my situation, I do not need a space for every project...
Ideally, I have the ability to select a space to which the project can be connected, as soon as I create a project.
Does anyone know how to achieve this?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Emile
Ok, it sounds like a workaround, but I can live with it :)
Thanks!
Hi Emile,
It's not possible to turn this off, but you can delete the space after it has been created. To do this, browse to the space and then click "Browse" in the top right, then "Space Admin" -> "Remove Space".
This will not automatically remove the 'wiki' tab when browsing that project in JIRA, FishEye, etc. It will give a 404 error when clicked sine the space has been removed. In order to remove the 'wiki' tab for the project:
This will remove the wiki tab for that one project. Other projects with spaces will retain their 'wiki' tab.
If you want to associate another existing space with your project, repeat the same steps as above but instead of setting "Instance" to "None", fill in the "Confluence space key" as appropriate, then click "Synchronize" for the "Confluence Space" on the next screen.

Is it still the case that there is no way to turn off automatic space creation upon jira project creation?
