I've been trying to add a comment when an issue is linked to an incident. I tried using [~userName] and others. However, it doesn't work.
I place the screenshots so you could understand better.
This is a tricky situation where the @ mentions may not work in Automation. I could be mistaken or they have fixed it in the last few months, but I recall this coming up over the summer.
Bill gave a solution in this thread, it is a few years old:
This thread is specifically for Data Center, however, several users tried multiple approaches to get user mentions to work.

Replace assignee with reporter or creator as you wish.
