Hi Team,

 

We are looking for below automation 

1)When Issue moves from todo to inprogress automatically update current date a nd time to inprogress date and time

2) when we moving task inprogress to done lead time field should be current time (-) ticket created time.

3)when we moving task inprogress to done cycle time field should be current time (-) inprogress date time.

 

Please give spoon feed answer

Hope the following does the trick..."Current Date" below, is representative of the date field to be updated. 

  • WHEN: Issue Transitioned
    • From - "To Do"
      • TO
    • "In Progress"
  • IF
    • Issue Matches JQL
      • "current date" IS EMPTY
  • THEN:
    • Edit Issue Fields
      • "Current Date"

What have you tried thus far to solve this need?

 

If you have an automation rule that is not working as expected, context is important for the community to offer help.  Please post the following:

  • what problem are you trying to solve; that is, "why do this"
  • what type of project is this (e.g., company-managed, team-managed, etc.)
  • an image of your complete automation rule
  • images of any relevant actions / conditions / branches
  • an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution
  • explain what is not working as expected and why you believe that to be the case.

 

If you have not yet started a rule, I encourage you to try.  Please note the Atlassian Community is a place for people with similar interests to collaborate and learn.  It is not a free labor pool to implement requests upon demand or "spoon feed" answers. 

When you regularly need help creating rules, I recommend both learning more about automation and to ask your Jira Site Admin for assistance.
