Hi,
I have the requirement to send an outlook invitation to schedule a meeting slot if a date-time is filled-in on the JIRA ticket.
The idea is, once the user schedules some issues adding the day and time information on the ticket. A meeting schedule is sent to the assignee, in order to reserve the timeslot in outlook calendar.
Example:
"Scheduled start date" updated to 20/09/2019 13:00
"Scheduled end date" updated to 20/09/2019 15:00
This will send an email to the assignee with an outlook meeting request for 20/09/2019 from 13:00 to 15:00
Many thanks for your help
Hi there,
Thanks for getting in touch, but unfortunately we have no native support for outlook. The best we can do is to send an outgoing request using our send web request action. However this will not work as the request would need to be authenticated, which we do not support.
Sorry,
Scott.
Many thanks for your answer.
Considering your words: "we have no....." I can see you are from the app. Can you please pick this as a new requirement for new releases?
Thanks.
Humberto.

Hi @Humberto Gomes
we provide an app that allows you to send out Outlook meetings invitations directly from Jira:
Outlook Meetings for Jira | Atlassian Marketplace
We are currently working on automations. The requested feature will probably be available at Q1 2022. Feel free to take a look at our roadmap:
Roadmap (yasoon.com)
In case you also want to integrate Microsoft Teams, Outlook Email or To Do, this app could be interesting for you (the Outlook Meetings integration is also part of it):

Hi @Patrick Schüßler _yasoon_ Do you have an update on this? We're specifically looking at e-mail notifications with a calendar appointment after a Change Request has been approved. We currently have an automation that sends the email based on status, but our users would love a calendar appointment included.
Thanks!

Hi there @Fontane, Matt ,
I am replying on behalf of my colleague Patrick, as he is busy at the High Velocity ITSM event in Sydney right now 😊
As Patrick has mentioned earlier, yasoon's app Microsoft 365 for Jira is now available with automation features. Here's a short YouTube video on how it works.
Regarding to your question, Outlook meetings are also available in yasoon's automation:
If you need help to set things up or any other question, you can schedule a demo call with us here: Meet Microsoft 365 for Jira (office365.com)
Best,
Britta

Is there any update on this? If Jira and outlook use the same set of credentials for a user, is there anyway we can enable this feature?
