Automating task to return to Backlog

Hi. New to Jira, Agile and Kanban (aren't you lucky :) ) We're primarily a network operations group that will manage tasks such as OS Updates, Was asked to investigate how we can de-clutter our Kanban board in Jira. I see many items that are in various status' that are several months old with no updates. I'd like to establish rules that will essentially move the task back to backlog based on some criteria. The first one is if there has been no update in 2 weeks move it back to the Product Backlog and notify the assignee of the change in status. Any help is appreciated or even where there are tutorials on this. Thank you
