Automating deployment of JIRA workflows

Hi,
is there any recommended way of automating the deployment of JIRA workflows, jobs etc.? In one of your guides you recommend to bundle JIRA artifacts (REST endpoints, Fragments, Event Listeners) as a ScriptRunner script plugin and finally install it.
However in the "Known Limitations" sections it says that in Jira this approach only works for the three artifacts "REST endpoints, Fragments and Event Listeners".
How would I automate the deployment of other Jira artifacts like workflows (post functions, validators), Jobs and Custom Fields? I do want to benefit from configuration as code – and to not use the ScriptRunner UI for this.
