Hi,
I use server based JIRA Software.
There is likely a better way to do this but I use a Kanban Board to view all tasks for my team across multiple projects. I regularly add new projects and have struggled to even add the new projects via a filter manually, but want to automate this. Once a project is added, new tasks update as I would like.
I want any new project created with a specific project category to be added to my Kanban board.
Any ideas how I can achieve this please?
There's no way to do this directly, as a board uses a filter to select issues, and that would have to be changed for each project you add.
However, there is a way to do it indirectly - if you change the board filter so that it uses something other than project to select issues, then new projects will fall into the board. In your case, if you use the project category. Your board filter can use "Category = something" to avoid selecting by project. New projects won't go into your board as they are created, but they will be included as soon as you set the category for the project to the selected one.
