Automate Target Start Date When Tasks Are Created

I can use some assistance to automate (if even using JQL) adding a target start date for all tasks when the record is created.

First, some questions to help clarify the scope of your question:

• Do you mean the built-in Target Start Date field or a custom field with a similar name?
• What addon features (if any) do you have for Jira?
• What value do you want in this field?

Let's assume you have your own custom field and that you have Automation for Jira in your instance.  If so, you could create a rule, triggered on issue create, that would set the field.
