Auto refreshing board with Labels

We have added some customer labels and created a JQL query to colour code the card, depending on the label attached to the card.  Since adding this query, the board is no longer auto refreshing, so with having boards constantly moving and so many people using the board, things are getting done twice.  We removed the JQL query, but this hasn't made a difference.  Is this something others have found, and is there a way to sort this out?

Hmm, I tried it, and it doesn't seem to refresh - it only updated when I manually triggered a status change (by changing the column or by refreshing the page).

According to this task, it should refresh every 30 seconds: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-86374

But it doesn’t, so it looks like a bug (or an undocumented feature 😉).
