Asterisk ari is not working.

Ram Krishna September 13, 2017

Hi Friends,

I'm new to Asterisk and configured asterisk on centos 6 server by enabling ari configuration by following the URL(https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Getting+Started+with+ARI). After enabling i can see the services got registered in asterisk cli. But when i execute the command

wscat -c "ws://localhost:8088/ari/events?api_key=asterisk:asterisk&app=hello-world"

it's giving output as connection refused but when i cross check the services on the port 8088, the services were not running on this particular port. can any one help on this?

Hi Ram,

I wish I could be of more assistance here, but this particular community site is geared for supporting Atlassian products.  The Asterisk product has their own support options over in http://www.asterisk.org/products/support

I would recommend selecting one of those options in order to direct your support request.   I think that perhaps the confusion here is because it seems that the link you posted has a wiki for Asterisk.  That wiki site appears to be running Confluence, which is an Atlassian product, however Atlassian wouldn't be expected to provide any kind of support for the content there.
