Associate a new workflow scheme - what about status I don't need?

Silvia Moya January 1, 2021

Hi!

I am changing the workflow for one of my projects. Everything seems good until I reach step 2 and it asks me to change status from the previous scheme to make them compatible with the new workflow. The thing is I no longer need those status.

Is there any way to delete them? Been dealing with it for a while but I really don't know what to do anymore... Any suggestions?

I don't understand why step 2 is a problem.  You are deleting status from the workflow, so Jira needs to know what status you want the issues to have instead of the ones you are removing.

Once you've changed all the issues that are in an unwanted status to use other workflows that don't have the unwanted status, you'll be able to delete the workflows using those status, and then you'll be able to delete the status from the global list of status.

Hi @Silvia Moya ,

You have to map the statuses for the new workflow. if you want to avoid some statuses that you do not want you can assign them the default status like they also need to be mapped in TO-DO status or maybe in any other status.

I hope it will help you.
