Assigning a workflow to a project

Tomas Manning December 8, 2011

I signed up for a trial period period and would like to review Jira's work-flow and reporting capabilities. Currently I'm having issues locating where I can change the work-flow for a project where I have three work-flows available.

Can someone provide me with some pointers here?

You need to set the workflows using a Workflow Scheme.

  1. In the admin console click Issues -> Workflows...
  2. On the left hand side click Workflow Schemes.
  3. Click Add Workflow Scheme
    1. Give it a name and a description
  4. In the list Click Workflows for your new Workflow Scheme
  5. Click Assign a workflow
  6. Select the Issue Type and the workflow you want to have associated

Now we need to associate the Workflow Scheme with your Project

  1. Click Projects -> Projects
  2. Click your Project Name
  3. Click Workflows on the left
  4. Click the Actions gear over on the right
  5. Select Use Different Scheme
  6. Select your scheme from the select list and click associate

That's all there is to it!
