Asking comment on a transition in a workflow

Hi,

I have created a workflow in which when I transition from one status to another status, I check that user has entered a comment as a validator. But I have not attached a screen in which user enters a comment.

How can we add a comment field when we transition from status to another ?

You've sort of answered your own question. Add a screen to the transition, and your user will be able to comment.

You don't actually need to put ANY fields on this screen at all. If there are none, your user will just get to comment, and that solves your problem.

Thanks for your reply. But I had once looked into the configuration of JIRA where we can associate comment with every screen or not ?

I was searching for the same. Can you please help ?
