Hi all,
I am trying to archive some of my issues using the new Jira Cloud functionality. While I do see the option to view archived issues from the right navigation bar, I do not see an option to archive an issue from the menu (as mentioned in the documentation).
Has anyone else experienced and resolved the same issue?
Thanks!
There is an "Archive Issues" permission. Please ask the admin to check the permissions:

Thanks for the quick reply, @Aaron Pavez _ServiceRocket_ ! Is this a project level permission? Asking because I am a project admin.

A user with the Jira System administrator permission or A user in a group with Admin access.
Project admins alone cannot modify permissions. They need the admin access to do it.

Hi, @Harshita Chadha
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
In order to archive isues you must have according permission. It's located in project permission scheme.
After that you'll see "Archive" button in list of actions.

I am not able to find the permission either, and I am a company admin. Did anyone solve this?

I am also having the same issue. I am at the top of the permission food chain, and have rights to access everything. Per @Dan Westness , I checked multiple projects - both company-managed and team-managed. I don't even see a "Permissions" option in the left nav for team-managed projects.
For company-managed projects, I have gone into the Permissions screen, but there are only two permissions with "archive" in the title:
I even tried going into the modals at the top-right of the screen (Permission Helper and Grant Permission). Those both offer type-completion select boxes, but it only shows the same two options with "archive". Perhaps the permission is off, which prevents me from seeing it on an issue; but where IS the permission to turn it on?

Same. I cannot find the permission. I have Administrator permission for all our Atlassian Products. I only see the Restore Archive Issues permission

I own the whole licence and am present in all permissions groups, on the Project level and Global level. Still, I couldn't find it in any of the mentioned pages.
Is it possible it's being continually rolled out?

Same here. Not able to see Archive issues permission.

I am facing this same issue where the Archive option is not appearing.
I can confirm I do have permission. (Confirmed by permission helper)
I even attempted to archive an issue via the API, but the /rest/api/2/issue/{issueID}/archive endpoint just responses with a 404 error

After some additional observation it appears this is only an issue on projects of type "Company-managed business"
I CAN see the option on software projects only
