Created a Application links which works fine in the first time, but when i tried to delete and create the same link, it says "consumer key must be unique", it is not allowing to create the application link. if I click "cancel" an application link is generated which is not working. Is this the intended behaviour. how the deleted link is restored again which doesn't work.
Hi team,
This is Atlassian Support. We figured out that this issue occurs when an Application Link is deleted, without first deleting the consumer key.
Thus, the intended flow to prevent this from occurring again is;
1. Edit the Application Link you wish to delete the Consumer Key
2. Delete the Consumer key in the "Incoming Authentication" section
3. Then delete the Application Link"
If you want to use the same Consumer Key for the new applink, you will need to reach Atlassian support and we can remove the Consumer Key from the DB.
Regards,
Mahtab

It is a Jira cloud setup, This happens when we delete the existing application link and when adding a new one, if we click cancel button then it will show a link again in the list

If you are still facing issues, we might need to check on the DB level for previous entries. Please create a support ticket at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/

Or other option would be to re-create the consumer key entry that you are using.
