Any way for assignee to set future close date/time

I would like to be able to set a future close date like I can do with Cisco. IE after completing a ticket. set the close date for 24/48/36 hours in the future. unless someone makes a comment on the ticket.

You can do something similar to Jelly Escalation. Atlassian uses it to close out inactive issues in their JIRA.
