Hello,
I have a 'classis business project' with issues that are still important but apparently now 'older', so hidden. This is harmful to our business!
Sure, you can click the link, but that takes you away from the board to a search. We need to be able to see the issues on the board, or things DO get missed!
Is it possible to configure the board to always show older issues?
Or perhaps is it possible to configure how old an issue is before it is considered old?
As a work-around, I guess I could edit the workflow and make the relevant statuses 'blue' not 'green' so they don't get classed as 'older'... Would that work?
There are a few change requests on this topic. Please add your votes to them if you want these changes.

Hello @David Mansueto
Welcome to the community.
Are you using a Scrum board or a kanban board with this project?
I don't work with Business projects, but in Software projects viewed with a Kanban board there is an option at the bottom of the Board Settings > General page to change how to age issues from the display, and it has an option for "Nevermind, show all"

Yeah, plus multiple boards, custom filtering... Sadly 'classic business' only gives you one board, which has no settings at all!

Hi David - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I know the Atlassian team is working to provide that functionality for the board, but not sure when it might get added.
In the mean time, I would do what you suggest and add another status to the workflow without it being a Done status category.

Another option would be to create a new Kanban board and use a filter that shows issues from the Business project.
The filter will look something like Project = ABC ORDER by Rank ASC where ABC is the project key for your Business project. Be sure to save the filter and share it. Or you can use an existing filter if one exists with the same issues in it.
Go to your list of boards and click on Create board
Choose either Kanban or Scrum - but probably Kanban.
Choose create based on an existing Filter.
Then attach it to the new filter you just created.
For the Location field, you will not be able to use a Next-gen, Business, or JSM Project - only Classic Software projects. Or you can link to your profile - probably best in this case. But this will not keep the board from working - it really only cares about the project(s) in the filter.
Then you are all set. You can modify the board as you need to.

Thanks for the idea! I was actually confused at first when I couldn't find the board settings, being used to Kanban boards, but it really seems that 'Classic Business' Projects only get one, non-configurable board. I suppose the ethos is making the project 'simpler'...
For now I've just changed the status to 'in progress'. It would be nice to configure 'older' time or override 'hide old', but I suppose it's not something there's a lot of demand for or I'd find other people asking how to do it!

I have talked with them about that - it's coming at some point. :-)

Any update on when we will get this feature? I'm having a similar problem. My customers can't see issues that are considered older in the kanban board.
