We have been using this add-on but we are upgrading our JIRA and would need to stop using the add-on which is now obsolete.

We have succesfully stopped using the Single version since the standard field User Picker (single user) now has the User Filtering by Group or Roles.

However, this User Filtering function is not available for the standard User Picker (multiple users).

Are there any available (and preferably free!) alternative out there? We are currently on JIRA 7.3.

All inputs are welcome!!!

Hello @Marc Jason Mutuc,

As far as I know there isn't any free app meeting your need. There is a feature request that you can vote for and watch to be updated: User picker (multi user) user filtering feature.

One of these add-ons should do the trick, depending on your budget and your other needs: ScriptRunner, Power Custom Fields Pro, nFeed.

Hope this helps,

- Manon

Thanks Manon! Voted the JIRA ticket.

How is it done via ScripRunner? We have it installed.

This thread may help you: Using Scriptrunner to define approvers based on multiple groups, it's retrieving users depending on groups and roles. I guess the way you should do it (validator, scripted field...) depends on your particular use cases!
