I have a question about Advanced Roadmaps. We want external employees (stakeholder) to access one specific plan and only one plan (Advanced Roadmaps) without being able to see other internal company information (from a privacy perspective). How can we proceed. Unfortunately, it is not clear in the documentation that users can only be authorized to access a specific roadmap. This is sensitive data. What functionality does Jira offer for stakeholders?
Hi @Franziska Kalloch ,
1. Do the external employees have a license to Jira? If so, you should be able to share Roadmaps with them by clicking "Share as" and choosing a link (which will create a spreadsheet they can open in Excel); You can also embed the roadmap to Confluence or elsewhere and share it that way:
2. If they don't have a license to Jira, then you can vote for that feature here:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17750
3. An alternative is to use an app like Visor, which syncs with nested Jira data and lets you create stakeholder-friendly Roadmaps and reports. You can filter out the data you don't want them to see: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1226209/visor-flexible-spreadsheet-for-jira-roadmapping-bulk-edits?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
I hope that helps!
Take care,
Becky @ Visor
