We are using the Advanced Forms function in a Jira Work Management project. Users have been provided a direct link to the form which is configured to create a specific issue type when submitted. The form has numerous required fields, some linked to the issue fields.
In some cases (so far, randomly), when the form is submitted, it creates an issue which is missing one or more of the form fields pieces of information. It then creates another issue, then another issue and so on until it creates one that has all of the submitted fields. This results in anywhere from 2-7 issues, all created within a 1 minute timeframe. It does not happen every time and I have not found a common attribute that explains what is triggering this. I've validated that there are no automation rules that would be causing this. I'm also fairly confident that users are not clicking submit repeatedly since I have issues being created which are missing some fields of data that are required on the form.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and, if so, if there is a way to resolve this issue.
Hi Squal,
I have never seen that and what strange behavior! You should probably open a support ticket with Atlassian to see if they can tell what happened with those.
