Additional Epic fields from Jira Azure Connector

Petrus Schoonwinkel February 3, 2023

Hi all,

I am looking for the a number of fields related to an Epic item within the Jira Table list.

I am making use of Jira's official connector for Microsoft Azure to extract Jira data onto our Data Lake.

We're looking to recreate a Status Report from the raw data in order to tailor our weekly Jira reports. In this report, Jira provides the following fields that I cannot find in any of the Jira tables obtainable through the connnector:

Assignee (of the Epic specifically, not the underlying issue)
Business or Product Owner (Not the Reporter, but the Business/Product Owner of the Epic)
Acceptance Criteria
Labels (E.g BusinessValue or TechnicalDebt)
% Completed

Can anyone please help me identify what the source table name is for the above mentioned fields?

Please see attached list of all tables in Jira that one can extract and load to desired database.

You need to be looking to the standard fields, not the "Jira software" fields.

Hi Nic,

Thank you for your response. I'm unfortunately not sure what you mean by standard fields? Are these located in the tables from the "Platform" schema? I see there are quite a few to choose from, but the naming does not suggest which tables might be applicable. For example:

"Platform".""Api_Issue"
"Platform".""Api_Project"
"Platform".""Api_Issue_Fields_Labels"

Are these the tables that contain the standard fields?

Kind regards,

Yes.

By "standard fields" I mean the issue fields that are part of the core issue (and custom fields that you have added, as the custom field functions are standard).  Summary, Description, priority and so on.

Thank you for your assistance Nic! That answered the question.

Confirmed the fields mentioned above are found in the "Extra"."Api_Issue" table, under a custom fields. Customfields are mapped for each Issue_key under the "Platform"."Items" table, which can be used as a reference for identifying which fields relate to which customfield columns.

Kind regards,
