Hello,
hope you're doing well.
We're currently trying to add 2 additional Status in our JIRA Workflow and already checked the documentation (Our JIRA Version: v8.13.9).
The first steps say:
However, this documentation seems to be out of date.
1) I don't see an Issues tab.
2) I can find the Workflow page, where I can edit the entire Workflow. It's also possible to add already existing Status. BUT we want to add a new status (which isnt existing) instead of searching existing one.Can anyone please help?
Thanks much!

1. PFB screenshot where you will find Issues. It is under JIRA Administration settings in top right corner.
2. Then click on Statuses on Administration Page. PFB another screenshot.
Hope this helps. Once new statuses are added, you can edit your workflow and use these statuses.
@Philipp Tandler As per latest screenshot you have attached, it seems you do not have jira administrator privileges. Only users with jira administrator rights can add statuses. Please reach out to your jira admin to get new statuses added. Then you can use them in your workflows.

@Philipp Tandler When you perform the first step, you should see a button to Add status at the top right corner of your window then you can later add this status in the workflow. Although i have 8.5 so it should be there.
Kind regards,
Moses
