Hi
I am trying to create an automation rule to move the task to sprint when creating an issue and referred the attatched QA but didn't work as I expected.
Is there any way to directly move the task to sprint when creating a new issue?
Thanks in advance.
Whenever you ask for help with an Automation Rule it will help us to help you if you provide:
1. what type of project is this (e.g., company-managed, team-managed, etc.),
2. images that show your complete rule.
3. images showing the details of the actions/conditions/branches.
4. images showing the Audit Log details for the rule execution.
5. images showing the relevant data in an image that is part of the rule execution.
6. Explain where the issue is.
These questions are not for not willing to help, but to have community members learn on how automation works.
Not just to provide a full solution, which would not help to understand what the automation is doing, but to have members understand what a rule is doing, if in need of change or error.
Hi sorry for the inconvenience.
I am new to Jira so I would appreciate your patience.
1. what type of project is this (e.g., company-managed, team-managed, etc.),
- This is a team-managed project
2. images that show your complete rule.
- I didn't get what you are saying fot the complete rule, but is the image I attatched enough?
3. images showing the details of the actions/conditions/branches.
- Please let me know what kind of image you are expecting.
4. images showing the Audit Log details for the rule execution.
- Please let me know what kind of image you are expecting.
5. images showing the relevant data in an image that is part of the rule execution.
- Please let me know what kind of image you are expecting.
6. Explain where the issue is.
- My expectation: We want the issues to be shown in the Board.
- Background for this question: As far as I understood is that I need to create a Sprint to show the issue in Board. So what I am trying is to create an automation which can automatically put the issue in Sprint whenever issue is newly created.
- Issue: I created a rule as above image but the issue didn't automatically move to Sprint.

Hi @Ito Miyu
What I meant is the following:
2. Is the the screenshot of the complete automation rule, so the rule you want to use with options
3. For each step in the rule show the config if applicable, son in your context; what is the detail of the create variable step
4. If your automation rule has run, there is a log of that run, see the option Audit Log in your rule
5. Related images to the issue the rule has to act on or the history in an issue showing what has the rule acted on or not.

2. Do you mean that I need to use an option to create this rule?
3.
4. Seems like the automation is working by the logs but it's not actually.
