Adding 1 user to JPD above 3 free users

I'm having 2 issues with my Jira Product Discovery account:

1. I want to add an additional creator. I have 3 free creators and when adding an additional one, I get the information that I have to pay for all 4 accounts (40 usd/month) instead of this one additional (10 usd/month).
2. I have issues with granting creator access to an additional user. On user dashboard this user is attributed to the right group and have the rights. On a creator group level I see this user. But still they don't have the right access.

Welcome to the community.

1. When going over the 3 free tier user option, you need to switch to a paid plan, this offers extra functionality as well.
   
   On a paid plan you will need to pay for each user using a license, you will not get 3 users for free.
2. This is not possible on a free tier instance, this requires a paid plan.

Actually, I already had an issue with adding a new user creator to the project before. As soon as I switch to the paid plan, should I do the following?

1. Switch to the paid plan and purchase an additional creator

2. Add new person as user creator in Atlassian user management

3. Add this person to the project as a creator on Jira Product Discovery level?

This should work or am I missing some step?
