Add emojis to tables on Jira Cloud Automation

Hello everyone,

I hope you all are doing great. I have a quick question, do you all know how can we add flag emojis to the tables on Automation?

I want to add the flag emojis corresponding to the countries im prefilling on my custom field.

I managed to add those emojis with windows 10 emojis, but i cannot find flag emojis on windows 10. Is there another way to add them?

For the scenario you have described of using the country flag emoji in a table created by an automation rule in the description field, I do not believe that is possible for a least a couple of reasons:

• The country emoji which can be selected manually while editing the description do not seem to be preserved when an automation rule changes the description.  Even if you add them manually by editing the description, and later add additional text to the description with a rule, they are lost.
• Not all of the table formatting which is possible when manually editing can be recreated with an automation rule, including some embedded macro and emoji information.  If you export data (or call the REST API) and used that same data in a rule, the results are different.

Confluence has some simple markup for inserting some emojis - (/) and (x) are the two you have in your screenshots.  See https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/use-symbols-emojis-and-special-characters/
