Add Filter Category in Backlog Board

Hi, 

Is possible to add one more filter in instant filter in JIRA backlog / board? I don't want to add it inside Quick Filters because I would need to create every different combination. I want to have dropdown box to select what I want to filter, based on some fields. Like for Version, Label and Type.

Unfortunately, as other Community members have noted, this feature does not currently exist in Jira.

Although, I was able to find a Feature Request which describes very similar behavior, and requests a custom option for filters just as you have described, see below:
Provide customization for which Quick Filters display in board view

I highly recommend you review this Feature Request, add yourself as a Watcher to be kept up to date, and even add a comment sharing how implementing this feature will benefit you and your team!

Hi @Nevena Todorovic ! You can create custom filters, but they won't appear next to the default options that Jira offers and you would have to create the combinations, as you pointed out. There might be a paid add-on that allows you to save the filters you create and have them as instant filters. As far as I know, it can't be done right now.

No, unfortunately not. The predefined filters you see are the options predefined by Jira; for any custom filters you would like to make available to your users, quick filters are the way to go.
