Some of my users have shown me that when they view an issue, then click Add Comment, they are presented with the Comment field in a popup window or a new tab. When I do the same actions, my browser just scrolls down to the Comment section of the ticket and presents me with the editing options and text box. Why are some users getting this in a popup or separate window? This is happening to them in both Chrome and Edge. I'm trying to figure out if it is a browser option, but it's not consistent. At times the user sees the popup, and at times they scroll, as I do. Is this a bug in Jira?
This seems to be related to this issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-11937 The issue is closed as Fixed but I see no information on fix version or fix. Does anyone know? We are on Jira Data Center 9.4.4 and this is happening!!
@kdickason Have you had them clear their browsers cache or used incognito mode?
Yes, issue persists. We have a ticket in with Support, as this seems to be the exact same issue as was supposedly fixed in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-11937
