We have 1 Backlog.

We have 3 Boards that work off that Backlog. (Scrum Board, Dev Board, Kanban Board)

Goal: Is to have 2 Active Sprint Boards that are showing different (Epics/Task/Improvements/Bugs) within each Active Sprint Board. At the moment everything I try, from component to filter does not provide different results in the active sprint.

I have created a component and then added that component to all the (Epics/Task/Improvements/Bugs) I want to see on our Active Sprint Dev Board.

I have also created a JQL Filter but when I added the filter I don't see just those tickets on my Active Sprint.

But when I make any changes. I still see our 2 boards the same on the active sprint.

Hello @Christopher Hunkele

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

The first thing to look at is the Filter used by the board to select issues. Each board has a base filter it uses to select issues. Find that information by going to the Board settings / General settings:

If the boards use the same single filter or filters that are identical, they will fundamentally show the same issues.

The next thing to note is that Sprints are not limited to being populated with issues from only one board. You can put any issue in Jira into any sprint in Jira. If you want these boards to have discrete sprints, make sure that you are giving those sprints clearly identifying names to help users understand in which sprint the issues should be added.

Given that sprint content is not restricted, Jira will show in a Scrum board any sprint that contains an issue that is within the scope of the board's filter. So, if an issue in the Dev board is incorrectly added to the sprint from the Scrum board, that sprint will show in both boards. However, in each board, the sprint content shown will be only the issues in the sprint that match the boards filter. So in the Scrum board the sprint might show 10 issues, while in the Dev board the same sprint shows only 1 issue.

Let me know if that helps you understand what is currently happening in your environment.

If you need additional help, please start by sharing the Filter used by each board.
