A command line interface for Jira?

James W. Krych April 5, 2017

Let me get this straight...

I install Jira on Oracle Enterprise Linux 6.9 and yet, to manage Jira at the command line I need to purchase a CLI interface?

There are two options either you can buy the CLI plugin. Or you can use the JIRA python client - https://pypi.python.org/pypi/jira/

Since JIRA has robust REST apis thus I generally use the python client, but for complex tasks I would suggest the JIRA CLI plugin

@James I also am curious: what problem are you trying to solve by using a CLI interface?
