There are other routes through this, but this is probably the shortest and clearest to explain:
- Copy or create the workflow you want to use for bugs.
- Copy the workflow scheme you are currently using in the project.
- Adjust the new workflow scheme so that it says "for bugs, use my new workflow"
- Go into the project settings and find the workflow section. Edit it and select the new workflow scheme.
- If the old and new workflows are not compatible because you have removed status, Jira will ask you questions about how to map status.
