move issues from jira software to jira service desk

Hello,

We are moving from JIRA Software to JIRA Service Desk and we need to copy all issues within a Project from JIRA Software to Service Desk without installing any Add-on on JIRA Software. How can this be possible using export/import functionlity or others... ?

Thank you for your usual support.

Regards,

Roudy

Why?  You'll be duplicating issues into separate areas.  Who do they belong to now?  Do you really have two streams of work for each set?

Why don't you just change the project type to Service Desk?

HI , Thank you for your feedback. The JIRA Software is installed on our local Server where we dont have any other Atlassian product installed. Since we've been requsted to follow ITIL, we purchased JIRA Service Desk CLOUD and we are aiming to migrate the customers one by one to the Service Desk Cloud. For that I need to move the issues from our JIRA Software installed under our local server to our new Cloud JIRA Service Desk and give the customer the new link to the JIRA Service Desk who will stop using the JIRA Software.

Regards,

Roudy

Right, that's a totally different thing.

Cloud doesn't have much in the way of an import facility for single projects.  The best you'll be able to do is export a list of issues to CSV and import it into the project as a simple list

If you want to do the whole lot though, there's methods for moving from Server to Cloud en-masse (and then you just need to change the project type after upload)
