import com.atlassian.jira.security.roles.ProjectRoleManager

def projectRoleManager = ComponentAccessor.getComponent(ProjectRoleManager)
def loggedInUser = ComponentAccessor.getJiraAuthenticationContext().getLoggedInUser()

def usersRoles = projectRoleManager.getProjectRoles(loggedInUser,issueContext.projectObject)*.name
log.warn("usersRoles: " + usersRoles)

// Here you'll replace to your field "Severity"def severityField = getFieldByName("Select List Single Choice A")
log.warn("severityField: " + severityField)

// Here you'll going to replace to your User Role "sservices"if ("Administrators" in usersRoles) {
    severityField.setReadOnly(true)
}

Hi, how about a simple workaround?

1) Remove priority from edit screen at all.

2) Create independent self-transition called "Change priority"

3) Make a condition for this transition only for particular roles.

4) Include Priority for the transition screen.
