When I import in a bunch of issues, I tend to create the entire hierarchy of Epic, Story, sub-task in the import sheet. If the Epic does not exist, I use its Epic Name that I specify in the sheet to reference as a parent for its stories. If you remove Epic Name as a field, I will have to manually create the epics and will not be able to create it and its stories in one swoop as part of the import process. Can you please suggest how I would create an epic with their respective hierarchies in the same import spreadsheet now with this change? Thanks.

@Brian Handscomb  Issues that were hidden from the backlog will have the "Epic Status" field set to "Done", you can use the following JQL to find them:

"Epic Status" = Done AND statusCategory != Done
