Hi Atlassian Community !
I’m Amira, a Product Manager in Jira Cloud. I'm excited to announce that we are bringing a new way to track key software dates within the business project calendar via shared release dates!
This feature helps teams like marketing, sales, and operations stay on top of software release dates and align their work accordingly.
i) Choose software projects to surface their releases in your business project:
ii) Toggle on/off software releases for yourself after your admin has set the projects to follow:
iii) Understand the status of each software release within the context of your business calendar:
Previously, business teams could show software releases from a single software project on their business project calendar.
Now, Jira Premium customers can track release dates for up to 5 software projects, helping teams working on business projects easily align their work with their software delivery teams.
For broader visibility, we recommend using the Plan’s calendar view (LINK) if there is a need to show releases from more than 5 software projects, as it is specifically designed for managing visibility and dependencies at scale.
Track up to 5 software projects: Use the View Settings menu to display multiple software projects and their releases.
We’re always looking to improve and iterate. Since shipping this feature to the business project’s calendar, we’ve heard a lot of positive feedback from customers that this feature has enhanced their ways of working and cross-team collaboration. Learn more how to use it in our support document.
We’re keen to get feedback to help us iterate towards the future. Please share your thoughts in the community thread below, and let us know what you love and what more you hope to see!
