How did we rebuild our Jira app with Forge? 🤔

Hello folks! ðŸ‘‹

Are you familiar with our Dynamic Forms for Jira app? One of our highlights of 2022 was definitely rebuilding the plugin in Cloud using the Forge platform ðŸš€

We chose it because we wanted to design the maximally integrated product right from the start. Furthermore, Forge's UI Modifications module enables manipulating the fields from the standard Create screen view. The feature was so important in Dynamic Forms development as it finally allowed us to operate on Jira native fields.

The fun part is, that our team was so curious about working in Forge that Atlassian let us create our extension whilst the new UI Modifications module was still under development ðŸ¤© It was a win-win situation. Whilst we could count on Atlassian support, they got ongoing feedback from a user’s perspective.

How did it all turn out? What was it like to work with the Atlassian company ðŸ¤”

In the interview with Atlassian, Jarek Solecki (Product Owner of Dynamic Forms for Jira) and RafaÅ‚ Janiczak (Fullstack Software Developer) from the Deviniti team provide you with some answers. We invite you to read the whole conversation on Atlassian's website here.

And what about you? Do you have any experience working with Forge? Let us know in the comments!

Cheers,

Oliwia
